"In September of 2018 we tried a new adventure and went to Colorado to hunt with Mesa Verde Outfitters. We brought a few guys with us from our archery shop to bow hunt for mule deer for a week. I saw Big bucks every day and was able to arrow a great 4x4 from a hand made brush blind that my guide helped me make. "I had the opportunity to hunt with Mesa Verde Outfitters during the 2018 2nd rifle season opener. The team was awesome to work with prior to the hunt and I looked forward to meeting them and seeing the operation. Upon arrival at the “Lodge “ I was met by Ernie, the senior guide and Lexie. The “Lodge” was amazing, the views were breathtaking and I was happy to be there. They took care of me from the moment I arrived. We did paperwork turned in my voucher and got my tag and we were all ready for opening morning. My guide was loaded with just enough energy and drive to push me over my time hunting with him. We had lots of highs a couple of lows, saw hundreds of deer, lots of bucks, but nothing I wanted to hang my tag on. I never felt pushed to shoot a smaller buck at anytime. I was able to fill my tag with an amazing Colorado mule deer 4x4 with eye guards and a huge body. When things happen here they truly happen fast and we were ready! The after shot photo shoot was great. Lots of memories and I was happy to share it with the guys in camp. Everyone hunted hard to the last day we were there.
I want to thank the entire staff for an outstanding adventure while I hunted with them. If I’m lucky enough, I hope to be back hunting with them in 2019! Thanks again!"
